Enjoying Friendships

Enjoying Friendships : When the chips are down, there's nothing like a good girlfriend. A friend is someone who accepts you - warts, wrinkles, weight, and all - conditionally. she will listen to you cry for your best interests... she supports you through thick and thinm, but because there is mutal respect, she will not allow you to wallow in self-pity or manipulate her. She ncourage you to be you best self and allow you to be your best self and allow your freedom to make your own choices. All women are birn with the need to communicate at a deeper level with thier mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins, and other significant females in their lives. Wholesome friendships among women promote sound mental and emotional health. Friends remind us we are part of something greater than ourselves, a larger world, and the right friends keep us on track. Promises about enjoying friendship: A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.[Prov.17:17]

No change of outward circumstances should abate our affection for our friends or relatives. But no friend, except Christ, deserves unlimited confidence. In Him this text did receive, and still receives its most glorious fulfilment. (Pr 17:18)

This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Those whom God loves as a Father, may despise the hatred of all the world. As the Father loved Christ, who was most worthy, so he loved his disciples, who were unworthy. All that love the Saviour should continue in their love to him, and take all occasions to show it. The joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment, but the joy of those who abide in Christ's love is a continual feast. They are to show their love to him by keeping his commandments. If the same power that first shed

abroad the love of Christ's in our hearts, did not keep us in that love, we should not long abide in it. Christ's love to us should direct us to love each other. He speaks as about to give many things in charge, yet names this only; it includes many duties. (Jn 15:18-25)

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. [1Cor.:26]Christ and his church form one body, as Head and members. Christians become members of this body by baptism. The outward rite is of Divine institution; it is a sign of the new birth, and is called therefore the washing of regeneration, Tit 3:5. But it is by the Spirit, only by the renewing of the Holy Ghost, that we are made members of Christ's body. And by communion with Christ at the Lord's supper, we are strengthened, not by drinking the

wine, but by drinking into one Spirit. Each member has its form, place, and use. The meanest makes a part of the body. There must be a distinction of members in the body. So Christ's members have different powers and different places. We should do the duties of our own place, and not murmur, or quarrel with others. All the members of the body are useful and necessary to each other. Nor is there a member of the body of Christ, but may and ought to be useful to fellow-members. As in the natural

body of man, the members should be closely united by the strongest bonds of love; the good of the whole should be the object of all. All Christians are dependent one upon another; each is to expect and receive help from the rest. Let us then have more of the spirit of union in our religion. (1Co 12:27-31)Let brotherly love continue.Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

The design of Christ in giving himself for us, is, that he may purchase to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works; and true religion is the strongest bond of friendship. Here are earnest exhortations to several Christian duties, especially contentment. The sin opposed to this grace and duty is covetousness, an over-eager desire for the wealth of this world, with envy of those who have more than ourselves. Having treasures in heaven, we may be content with mean things here.

Those who cannot be so, would not be content though God raised their condition. Adam was in paradise, yet not contented; some angels in heaven were not contented; but the apostle Paul, though abased and empty, had learned in every state, in any state, to be content. Christians have reason to be contented with their present lot. This promise contains the sum and substance of all the promises; to ?I will never, no, never leave thee, no, never forsake thee. to ? In the original there are no less than

five negatives put together, to confirm the promise: the true believer shall have the gracious presence of God with him, in life, at death, and for ever. Men can do nothing against God, and God can make all that men do against his people, to turn to their good. (Heb 13:7-15)

(Heb 13:7-15) Just some thoughts here : I thank Jesus Christ today on my birthdat today, to share with men & women whom have helped me through my years to date in sharing with me Jesus Christ Sword of His truths in bringing people together in God's own time table in order to bring about specific things that we all have learned in being with the Lord of Host first and above all while living on this earth in growing in Him together in the Lord and sharing each other's burdens in helping each one in our prayers unto the Lord. And introucing to one another in drawing very near unto the Lord in each own abinding Love only as our first love that Highly devoted unto the Lord no matter what is taken place in each individual's lives or no matter what circumstances, issues, situations that we each have to deal with on a daily basis . It's what I give unto Him Jesus Christ that handles it all as he guides our paths in Himself that makes all the differences in our lives No matter where we are in this vast wide world He's there, even when we at times feels that He's not right there , But he He is indeed waiting for us to take that certain road that He has given us through His most very precious spirit in the Bible for us to take as he accomplishes all things needed in each inviduals lives upon the whole earth. That's what I love about being in the Lord, He's My best friend, My Lover, in whom dwells inside of me and often time through other's like my and Your's friendship as He leads us through Those shepards in our paths as well. What A Blessing to know the Master, Shepard in Jesus Christ in whom I thank, praise, and worship the Most in my own life. In Loving My husband as I do Jesus Christ indeed has given the best through the Lord in that indweeling that comes to help me see through the Lord's eyes in how he feels about all people in a spiritual ways beyond my own conception. He's given so many benifits while living that often times enough I have so many amazement in seeing him in going home to be with him one day soon just looking at the Lord and being in worship as He has me doing all the things that required in his throne. Bless be the God of "ALPHA & OMEGA " is what is in my heart alway's and just holding on to him when things goes sour and in turmoil is all I can do but to share with his words in holding on to see me through. He's alway's knows whats best ! And having friendships helps to go through life at all times as well. God Bless You from my own heart unto Your's this day. catcmo2006
