Fear

Fear : The Words Of God says The Words unto us about this particular subject and this is the ways God counsels us in this huge word but yet so tiny in itself. It's so very natural to know just what it does and in those alarming situations that comes unto us at one time or another. Natural feelings caused by expectation of all imminet danger, pain, or disaster; awe and reverance toward a supreme powers. Secular fear rises in normal activites and relationships of life with animals. The Word: All the wild animals, large and small, and all the birds and fish will be afraid of you. I have placed them in your power [Gen. 9:2]. The lion has roared--tremble in fear! The Sovereign LORD has spoken--I dare not refuse to proclaim his message![Amos 3:8] ; Other People: And when the men there asked him about Rebekah, he said, "She is my sister." He was afraid to admit that she was his wife. He thought they would kill him to get her, because she was very beautiful[ Gen.26:7]. Nations:When Hadadezer and his Aramean allies realized they had been defeated by Israel, they surrendered to them and became their subjects. After that, the Arameans were afraid to help the Ammonites [2Sam.10:19]. Wars: As Pharaoh and his army approached, the people of Israel could see them in the distance, marching toward them. The people began to panic, and they cried out to the LORD for help[ Ex.14:10].Enemies:Give these orders to the people: "You will be passing through the country belonging to your relatives the Edomites, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. The Edomites will feel threatened, so be careful [Deut.2:4]. Subjuation: It was simply because the LORD loves you, and because he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors. That is why the LORD rescued you with such amazing power from your slavery under Pharaoh in Egypt. Then all the nations of the world will see that you are a people claimed by the LORD, and they will stand in awe of you[Deut.7:8;28:10]. Death: O LORD, please rescue me from my brother, Esau. I am afraid that he is coming to kill me, along with my wives and children[Gen.32:11] . Disaster: For the LORD will remove his hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemy. And the LORD himself, the King of Israel, will live among you! At last your troubles will be over, and you will fear disaster no more.On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be, "Cheer up, Zion! Don't be afraid! [Zeph.3:15,16]. Sudden Panic:You need not be afraid of disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked,[ Prov.3:25] Adversity: You, too, have proved to be of no help. You have seen my calamity, and you are afraid[Job.6:21]. The Unknown: Afterward Lot left Zoar because he was afraid of the people there, and he went to live in a cave in the mountains with his two daughters[Gen.19:30] . Fear Can Reflect The Limitations Of Life: You will be afraid of heights and of falling, white-haired and withered, dragging along without any sexual desire. You will be standing at death's door. And as you near your everlasting home, the mourners will walk along the streets[Eccl.12:5] . The Unforseen Consequence Of Actions: Samuel stayed in bed until morning, then got up and opened the doors of the Tabernacle[a] as usual. He was afraid to tell Eli what the LORD had said to him[ 1Sam.3:15]. Fear Comes From A Strong Realization Of Sin And Disobedience: He replied, "I heard you, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked."Then the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he placed the man he had created. And the LORD God planted all sorts of trees in the garden--beautiful trees that produced delicious fruit. At the center of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil[Gen.3:10;2:8,9] . Sin Creates Estrangement And Guilt Leading To Fear Of The Day Of Thte Lord: Blow the trumpet in Jerusalem[a]! Sound the alarm on my holy mountain! Let everyone tremble in fear because the day of the LORD is upon us.[ Joel 2:1] Fear Can Be Regard The Young Owes To The Aged;Elihu son of Barakel the Buzite said, "I am young and you are old, so I held back and did not dare to tell you what I think[Job 32:6]. Honor A Child Demonstrates Towards The Parents: Each of you must show respect for your mother and father, and you must always observe my Sabbath days of rest, for I, the LORD, am your God [Leviticus 19:3]. Reverential Respect Of Individuals Towards Thier Masters: You who are slaves must accept the authority of your masters. Do whatever they tell you--not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are harsh[1 Pe.2:18] . Persons In Responsibility: Give to everyone what you owe them: Pay your taxes and import duties, and give respect and honor to all to whom it is due [Rom.13:7] . Fear Also Can Be A Sense Of Concern For The Individuals : But I fear that somehow you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to Christ, just as Eve was deceived by the serpent [2 Cor.11:3]. Respect For Ones Husband: by watching your pure, godly behavior [1 Pe.3:2] . Freedom From Fear Comes As Individuals Trust In God Who Protects: Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid for you are close beside me ,Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me [Ps.23:4]. God Helps Them: You will live under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away; you will live in peace. Terror will not come near[Isaiah 54:14] .Perfect Love Cast Out Fear:Such love has no fear because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of judgment, and this shows that his love has not been perfected in us [1john4:18], Compare To:For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline[ 2Tim.1:7] . Religious Fear Is The Human Response To The Presence Of God. The Reality Of God's Holiness Reveals The Vast Distinction Between Humans And God, Attracting And Repeling At Once, And Overwhelming A Person With A Sense Of Awe And Fear. The Person Response In Reverence And Worship, Confessing Sin And Seeking God's Will. [Isa.6]. The Isrealites Were Exhorted to "Serve the Lord" with 'Fear" Serve the LORD with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling[Ps.2:11]. "Yaweh" is a "great and terrible" God.:Then I said, "O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of unfailing love with those who love him and obey his commands, [Neh.1:5], Compare To: "Who else among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is glorious in holiness like you-- so awesome in splendor, performing such wonders? [Exodus 15:11];"If you refuse to obey all the terms of this law that are written in this book, and if you do not fear the glorious and awesome name of the LORD your God, [ Deut.28:58]; Let them praise your great and awesome name.
Your name is holy! [Psalm 99:3]. The Fear of God is not the dread that comes out of fear of punishment; rather , it is reverential regard and awe that comes out of recognition and submission to the divine. Fear protected Isreal from taking for granted or presuming His grace. Fear called to Obedience that very covenant unto the Lord : "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires you to fear him, to live according to his will, to love and worship him with all your heart and soul[Deuteronomy 10:12]; Compare To: and to obey the LORD's commands and laws that I am giving you today for your own good [Deut.10:13];And the LORD our God commanded us to obey all these laws and to fear him for our own prosperity and well-being, as is now the case[Deut.6:24], For we are righteous when we obey all the commands the LORD our God has given us.' [Deut.6:25],You must fear the LORD your God and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in his name alone. [Deut.10:20],Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.[Deut.13:4]. Fear becomes a demand that can be learned: He must always keep this copy of the law with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the LORD his God by obeying all the terms of this law. [Deut.17:19].

The Bottom line is God has many free gifts waiting on us to be abiding in Him in order to recieve them He has forgivness, love, mercy, and he's most powerful in diety and above all we have been declared by Himself "Not Guilty" when we trust Him, Serve Him, in obedience and most of all that wonderful Promise of Home waiting on us! Now isn't that Good New's !!! catcmo2006
