Commission & Restoration

Commisioned & Restoration:

Isaiah 49

The LORDs Servant Commissioned
1Listen to me, all of you in far-off lands! The LORD called me before my birth; from within the womb he called me by name. 2He made my words of judgment as sharp as a sword. He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand. I am like a sharp arrow in his quiver.

3He said to me, "You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory."

4I replied, "But my work all seems so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose at all. Yet I leave it all in the LORD's hand; I will trust God for my reward."

5And now the LORD speaks--he who formed me in my mother's womb to be his servant, who commissioned me to bring his people of Israel back to him. The LORD has honored me, and my God has given me strength. 6He says, "You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me. I will make you a light to the Gentiles, and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth."

7The LORD, the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel, says to the one who is despised and rejected by a nation, to the one who is the servant of rulers: "Kings will stand at attention when you pass by. Princes will bow low because the LORD has chosen you. He, the faithful LORD, the Holy One of Israel, chooses you."

Promises of Israels Restoration
8This is what the LORD says: "At just the right time, I will respond to you. On the day of salvation, I will help you. I will give you as a token and pledge to Israel. This will prove that I will reestablish the land of Israel and reassign it to its own people again. 9Through you I am saying to the prisoners of darkness, `Come out! I am giving you your freedom!' They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures and on hills that were previously bare. 10They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun and scorching desert winds will not reach them anymore. For the LORD in his mercy will lead them beside cool waters. 11And I will make my mountains into level paths for them. The highways will be raised above the valleys. 12See, my people will return from far away, from lands to the north and west, and from as far south as Egypt.[a]"

13Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their sorrow.

14Yet Jerusalem[b] says, "The LORD has deserted us; the Lord has forgotten us."

15"Never! Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for a child she has borne? But even if that were possible, I would not forget you! 16See, I have written your name on my hand. Ever before me is a picture of Jerusalem's walls in ruins. 17Soon your descendants will come back, and all who are trying to destroy you will go away. 18Look and see, for all your children will come back to you. As surely as I live," says the LORD, "they will be like jewels or bridal ornaments for you to display.

19"Even the most desolate parts of your abandoned land will soon be crowded with your people. Your enemies who enslaved you will be far away. 20The generations born in exile will return and say, `We need more room! It's crowded here!' 21Then you will think to yourself, `Who has given me all these descendants? For most of my children were killed, and the rest were carried away into exile. I was left here all alone. Who bore these children? Who raised them for me?' "

22This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I will give a signal to the godless nations. They will carry your little sons back to you in their arms; they will bring your daughters on their shoulders. 23Kings and queens will serve you. They will care for all your needs. They will bow to the earth before you and lick the dust from your feet. Then you will know that I am the LORD. Those who wait for me will never be put to shame."

24Who can snatch the plunder of war from the hands of a warrior? Who can demand that a tyrant[c] let his captives go? 25But the LORD says, "The captives of warriors will be released, and the plunder of tyrants will be retrieved. For I will fight those who fight you, and I will save your children. 26I will feed your enemies with their own flesh. They will be drunk with rivers of their own blood. All the world will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior and Redeemer, the Mighty One of Israel.[d]" The Bottom line: Many times it seems like our godly acts are for all or nothing. We may have lost friends and some have strined relationships, and we struggle with one's own temptations. It just don't seem like that self has made any kind of progress in one's own life. But if self honors God in one's own life, He will reward us for our faith. We see here what God wants for us in one's spiritual and emotionally even though we may be downtroddened though His Son, the Messiah. Throughwe have one's bondages and depression, God ffers true freedom. To those whom feel such an inner emptiness and aimlessly wonderings, he offers guidness, care, and fullfillment. To those whom lives that feel abandon, battered in one's own life as he offers comfort. The people of Judah felt abandoned by God because of the troubles they were experiencing at the time. We can truly be assured that even though we might feel abandoned by God because of one's own troubles that we are going through, God will never abandon us. In spite of that apprearence, God is working out His plan for us and will deliever us from our own enemies. catcmo2006

Those Musts in the Word of God

Deuteronomy 22

1 "If you see your neighbor's ox or sheep wandering away, don't pretend not to see it. Take it back to its owner. 2If it does not belong to someone nearby or you don't know who the owner is, keep it until the owner comes looking for it; then return it. 3Do the same if you find your neighbor's donkey, clothing, or anything else your neighbor loses. Don't pretend you did not see it.

4"If you see your neighbor's ox or donkey lying on the road, do not look the other way. Go and help your neighbor get it to its feet!

5"A woman must not wear men's clothing, and a man must not wear women's clothing. The LORD your God detests people who do this.

6"If you find a bird's nest on the ground or in a tree and there are young ones or eggs in it with the mother sitting in the nest, do not take the mother with the young. 7You may take the young, but let the mother go, so you may prosper and enjoy a long life.

8"Every new house you build must have a barrier around the edge of its flat rooftop. That way you will not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your household if someone falls from the roof.

9"Do not plant any other crop between the rows of your vineyard. If you do, you are forbidden to use either the grapes from the vineyard or the produce of the other crop.

10"Do not plow with an ox and a donkey harnessed together.

11"Do not wear clothing made of wool and linen woven together.

12"You must put tassels on the four corners of your cloaks.

Regulations for Sexual Purity
13"Suppose a man marries a woman and, after sleeping with her, changes his mind about her 14and falsely accuses her of having slept with another man. He might say, `I discovered she was not a virgin when I married her.' 15If the man does this, the woman's father and mother must bring the proof of her virginity to the leaders of the town. 16Her father must tell them, `I gave my daughter to this man to be his wife, and now he has turned against her. 17He has accused her of shameful things, claiming that she was not a virgin when he married her. But here is the proof of my daughter's virginity.' Then they must spread the cloth before the judges. 18The judges must then punish the man. 19They will fine him one hundred pieces of silver,[a] for he falsely accused a virgin of Israel. The payment will be made to the woman's father. The woman will then remain the man's wife, and he may never divorce her.

20"But suppose the man's accusations are true, and her virginity could not be proved. 21In such cases, the judges must take the girl to the door of her father's home, and the men of the town will stone her to death. She has committed a disgraceful crime in Israel by being promiscuous while living in her parents' home. Such evil must be cleansed from among you.

22"If a man is discovered committing adultery, both he and the other man's wife must be killed. In this way, the evil will be cleansed from Israel.

23"Suppose a man meets a young woman, a virgin who is engaged to be married, and he has sexual intercourse with her. If this happens within a town, 24you must take both of them to the gates of the town and stone them to death. The woman is guilty because she did not scream for help. The man must die because he violated another man's wife. In this way, you will cleanse the land of evil.

25"But if the man meets the engaged woman out in the country, and he rapes her, then only the man should die. 26Do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no crime worthy of death. This case is similar to that of someone who attacks and murders a neighbor. 27Since the man raped her out in the country, it must be assumed that she screamed, but there was no one to rescue her.

28"If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, 29he must pay fifty pieces of silver[b] to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

30"A man must not have intercourse with his father's wife, for this would violate his father.

The Bottomline: One of the uglist results of one own rebellion in our times of today, is that confusion in the sex roles. Our bible truly defines in an unequivol on this point in all references to this matter in what God had laid out before us in today's times, on this point in it's own references. Don't reverse sex roles. Men rejoice in your maleness. Women, celebrate your femaleness. Be the gender that God inted for you to be - in your appearness, in your clothing and thinking. The home is of vital concern to God. He truly cares about the marital faithfulness and purity. He alone spells this out in all of these regulations to demonstrate that the marriage relationship is of great and holy importance. We all need to pattern self in our marriages in one's own life. Marital fidelity is the only means of establishing a healthy family where members are characterized by maturity and wholeness. catcmo2006

A TIME TO PRAISE

ATIME TO PRAISE THE LORD ! 1
The LORD said to my Lord,
"Sit in honor at my right hand
until I humble your enemies,
making them a footstool under your feet."

2
The LORD will extend your powerful dominion from Jerusalem[a];
you will rule over your enemies.

3
In that day of battle,
your people will serve you willingly.
Arrayed in holy garments,
your vigor will be renewed each day like the morning dew.

4
The LORD has taken an oath and will not break his vow:
"You are a priest forever in the line of Melchizedek."

5
The Lord stands at your right hand to protect you.
He will strike down many kings in the day of his anger.

6
He will punish the nations
and fill them with their dead;
he will shatter heads
over the whole earth.

7
But he himself will be refreshed from brooks along the way.
He will be victorious.

The Bottomline: God ransomed his people, the Isrealites, first by making a covenant with them, and alway's delivering them time after time from thier enemies. God has ransomed us,too, from the penalty of sin by paying such a dear price for everyone - His own son Jesus Christ ! God has made that ultimate sacrifice so we, seek Him as we are unworthy, can be restored to the most joyful and godly lives.God wants this to happen for everyone in that wonderful restoration that it be continued in us simply because He wants it too, In us engaging His supreme God just as He would want us to be in those terms more than we realize in our lives today. That's why we can truly be safe in His arms in that entrust God our own life in those most powerful hands of our God, because he has proven just how strong he desires us by giving everyone His own Son Jesus Christ as our Messiah whom suffered in our behalf. catcmo2006

The Bottom Line: The Messianic Psalms as these phrases: The Sovereign King; Eternal Priest;Victorious Warrior; Name of God; Adonai; Master; God and the Messiah rules the Earth; He along execute judgement. We see those words in the "Prophetic" as David himself which has set forth in the New Testament in the Book of Hebrews 5&7 as it is then explained. How true it is of our Messiah our King. catcmo2006
